Marcelo Szechtman

Marcelo Szechtman is a Buenos Aires-born director and screenwriter who began his career creating short films and later transitioned into journalism and commercial filmmaking. Since the mid-1990s, his commercials have earned international acclaim, with awards from Cannes, Clio, and New York. Named Best Director for the U.S. Hispanic Market in 2000, he later won the FIAP Grand Prix, a Martín Fierro, and a Platinum Pencil. In 2014, his work for T&C Sports earned a Cannes Silver Lion and a San Sebastián Gold Sun. Under the name Dr+Sz, he often co-directs with guest filmmakers and is currently developing film and television projects.
